Conway welcomes reopening of Limerick-Ennis line

21st March 2018 – Senator Martin Conway

Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway has welcomed the reopening of the Ennis to Limerick train line. The line reopened today after being closed since later January due to flooding at Ballycar.

Senator Conway said: “It is great to see the service resuming between Ennis and Limerick.

“As well as being a huge benefit to local commuters who have been discommoded for weeks, it will also help to bring business from Cork and Dublin to the region.

“Now the Government needs to find a permanent solution to the flooding issue. I will be making representations to the Minister with responsibility for this area, Kevin Boxer Moran, in this regard.”
